Local Lix Interview - Oct 25, 2016

Light’s Radio Interview with Local Lix

If you’ve got an hour, I’d love for you to check this out!

Back in late October, a couple band members and myself got to go out to Marysville, OH and have a traditional, Studio Interview with Pat McLoughlin at Local Lix. It was an awesome studio echoing back to the 60s and 70s in flavor and feel, and it was right on the main street in downtown Marysville.

Pat was incredibly gracious and thoroughly prepared to dig into as much as he could for our hour long interview. Super nice guy, easy to talk to, and we all really had a great time! I know at least Kevin will be heading back there for an interview about one of his other projects, so keep an ear out for that as well!

Our interview just aired the last 2 mornings on a couple of different AM/FM stations and now is available to stream and check out!

MAIN INTERVIEW (WDLR) :

We ended up talking beyond the hour inevitably, so they also did a little bonus time with us which was excellent! Included is a little more interview about where we are currently and where we’re headed. Plus they included several songs from our catalog at full length!

BONUS LIX (WDLR) :

Pat was incredibly gracious with his compliments. It was a great time and I hope we get to do it again!

I’m really humbled and happy to have been able to be there and talk a little bit about how we write music, why, some music clips, a little band history, and of course a little Shadowbox. In my lifetime, our focus has always been the final product. It’s really nice to have had this opportunity to share all the thoughts and process that goes into making our music and perhaps even help you relate more to what we do!

I mean… of course I want you to dig all of our music anyway lol Personally, I get better as a player and songwriter every time we do a large project. I still can’t believe I get to work with these cats sometimes, and every time I think about it I get inspired. I hope you’ll take the time to check out the interview.

There will be more to come in 2017 as we’ll be featured on Songs at the Center and the new project is underway, so enjoy the ride with us!

And if you feel up to it, pop over to Local Lix’s Facebook page and drop you a “Like” and say you dug the interview : https://www.facebook.com/Local-Lix-917870761566639/?fref=ts

Have a kick ass day!
